Hiroo no Curry Rice Kit

Nothing like the taste of home-cooked curry made with a traditional recipe, the famous Hiroo no curry. Flavored with meaty oxtail, this delicious curry will elevate any meat and is best enjoyed with a side of white rice. 

Hiroo no Curry is the name of a popular restaurant located in Hiroo, Tokyo, Japan.
The curry is made by slowly extracting the extract from oxtail to create a rich and delicious curry.

Ingredients

2 Curry
2 Rice Pack
4pc Oxtail Meat
2 sliced cabbage
2 vegetables pickled in rich soy sauce(Fukujin-Duke)

Instructions

Transfer the oxtail to a bowl, fill it with enough hot water to soak, and heat it in the microwave for 2 minutes. Then remove the oxtail and sear it lightly in a pan. (Do not discard the rest of the hot water.)

Dissolve the curry roux in hot water and heat it in a saucepan. Then add 50 cc to 80 cc of hot water left over from the oxtail to smooth the roux. Smooth the roux to the desired degree of smoothness.

Open the lid slightly and heat the rice in the microwave for 1 minute.

Place the rice on a plate, pour the curry roux over the rice and garnish with the oxtail. Then top with cabbage and fukujinduke to complete the dish.

How to Store Food

• The curry roux and oxtail meat comes frozen.
  
• The rice packets are at room temperature.
  
• Cabbage and Fukujinduke will be refrigerated.
  
• The frozen and room temperature items can be stored for one month.
  
• The refrigerated ones can be stored for 4 days.
